Who We Are... J.B. Anderson Inspections is locally owned and operated, founded by J.B. Anderson. Mr. Anderson, is certified by the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors. NACHI Certification is an individual credential, awarded only to inspectors after they've successfully passed NACHI's Inspector Examination, successfully completed a standards of practice test, and completed a Code of Ethics Course. To maintain certification, NACHI certified inspectors earn continuing education credits, and take the latest version of the NACHI-administered examination. Additionally, NACHI certified inspectors adhere to Standards of Practice, abide by a Code of Ethics, and attend required continuing education courses. NACHI certified inspectors carry a photo identification badge that features a certification number and expiration date. There's no such thing as a NACHI certified inspection company, NACHI certification is based on individual testing. Mr. Anderson has completed extensive college education and study in the area of building inspection technology; specializing in existing housing, and has completed college level coursework in the subjects of public health and safety, fire origin and cause investigation, and hazardous materials. Most importantly, Mr. Anderson holds a Housing Inspection Certificate from North Hennepin Community College. Professional memberships include National Association of Certified Home Inspectors, International Association of Arson Investigators (MN Chapter), Environmental Solutions Association and the Minnesota Association of Housing Code Officials. Last but not least, Mr. Anderson is a Board Certified Master Inspector, a designation available only to those inspectors who have completed a combination of 1,000 inspections and hours of continuing education. This education combined with seven years of home inspection experience equals an inspector who knows what to look for. What we do... J.B. Anderson inspections conducts a visual inspection of the home's accessible major systems and components that addresses function, condition and safety. This includes roof, structure, foundation, plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical components and systems of the home. Its purpose is to report on the function and safety of the components inspected, enabling you to fully understand your new home. Using everyday language, our detailed reports explain the operation of these systems and necessary repairs. Immediate Results... You walk out the door with the results. At the conclusion of the inspection, our inspector will address questions you may have, distinguish between items that need to be repaired or replaced, areas that may need routine maintenance, and any items that may need immediate attention at the time of the inspection. Your inspection report and technical information will be forwarded to you electronically, in most cases within 24 hours. Additionally, J.B. Anderson Inspections will mail a paper version of the electronic report as an added courtesy. J.B. Anderson Inspections uses the HomeGauge Computerized Reporting System. This reporting technique combines the best of two proven report styles, the narrative and check list. Your custom report includes Color digital photographs that show complimentary views of the home and any items identified as in need of corrective action. You will receive an email notification with a user name and password that allows you to log onto our web site to view and print your completed report. No need to have a special viewer program installed on your computer, your report is viewable using a standard web browser. Our inspection process and your custom report serves as your ambassador for fire and life safety. |
